“Life’s like a movie, write your own ending, keep believing, keep pretending…
THAT’S ME AT AROUND 12, RECORDING SOMETHING INTO ONE OF OUR FAMILY’S PRIZED POSSESSIONS, A panasonic cassette player/recorder purchased at radioshack.
Little did I know at the time that a lifetime of music and recording awaited me and I would use that same machine to record my Berklee College of music audition tape, which would launch me into a lifetime of songwriting, studios, albums and performance stages.
I do consider myself a songwriter first. A vocalist and instrumentalist - the supporting framework for the songs. Likely the best thing about growing up in the 70’s was the music - in particular - the songwriters.
There is too much music from this era to credit. but start at joni, take a left at taylor and king, head down mann & Weil aisle, sprinkle well with aretha, earth wind & Fire, prince, the jacksons, and fold in Bush, chapman, armitrading, lee jones, o’connor, amos, badu, raitt, lang, colvin and Difranco…
and you’ve got this particular slice of musical cake.
It’s been a long crazy journey that has brought me to 2026 finally releasing my first solo album, “Basking in reality”.
It’s been an incredible TRIP and mostly I’m just happy to have this collection of songs to share with you all.
Thanks for listening.
